At ScottishPower we believe we have a responsibility to try to make a difference wherever we can. That's why we are so pleased to be back as the Official Energy Sponsor of Race for Life 2013.
Last year, thousands of women joined our High 5 Challenge to help raise £20,000. This year, we're hoping to make it even bigger and better.
In 2012 we announced an exciting new relationship with Cancer Research UK as our principle charity for 3 years. Since then we've been working hard to support Cancer Research UK's lifesaving work and we're delighted to have passed the £1 million milestone. Through our Help Beat Cancer Product, we've raised over £670,0001 so far.
We've been making a difference in other ways too. Our employees have been fundraising internally raising £65,0001 to date. And our involvement with Race for Life raised £270,000. What's more we recently sponsored 'Stand Up To Cancer' on Channel 4 where over 300 employees helped man the phones on the night.
We're committed to our relationship with Cancer Research UK because we believe in using our power to change things for the better.
We've been truly inspired by everyone who took part in last year's Race for Life and supported our High 5 Challenge. Thanks to all who helped make it such a success. This year we're hoping to make our challenge even bigger and better. So get ready to grab a pink glove and start High 5-ing....
And remember you can still donate to Cancer Research UK2 through our website.
