Up to 35% of the heat from your home is lost through its walls and up to a further 25% through the roof* – that includes heat which you pay for in your energy bill. Insulating your home can help to cut down on this. Normally quick and easy to install, cavity wall and loft insulation can help to make your home more energy efficient and easier to keep warm. It could save you a pretty penny too – up to 31,000 pennies on your energy bill per year in fact!

Installing insulation could save you up to £310 in total on your annual energy bill – up to £135 for cavity wall insulation and up to £175 for loft insulation per year.*

To be eligible for the free installation offer, (i) you must be in receipt of certain benefits or credits, and (ii) your home must be deemed suitable for installation of free insulation, following a survey carried out by a ScottishPower approved contractor^†,:

After you have provided us with your details, we shall arrange for one of our surveyors to visit your home to check both your eligibility and your home’s suitability for the free insulation offer. The surveyor will inform you if you qualify for free installation^†. If free installation is not possible, as you do not meet the qualifying criteria for this offer, it may still possible to install insulation with the cost being met by you and the surveyor will discuss this with you.

If your home is suitable for installation of insulation and if you wish to go ahead, one of our installers will arrange a suitable date for installation with directly with you. Installation will normally take around half a day to complete for each measure to be installed.
