Credit Balance Refund

If I have too much credit, will you refund it to me?

Yes, if you’re actual meter readings show that you have more than three months’ worth of direct debit payments at the time of your annual review, we’ll automatically refund this amount. If you have less than three months’ worth of direct debit payments, we’ll reduce your monthly payments for the coming year accordingly. If the amount you pay needs to increase or decrease, we’ll let you know in advance.

If you would like to know when your next annual review date is, or would like to request a refund outside of your review period, please contact us.

Please note that when requesting a refund, you will need to provide your current meter readings and your direct debit payments may need to be reassessed. The refund should be issued within 14 working days by cheque. We are not currently able to refund payments directly into customer bank accounts.

For every full £33 you are in credit, above £100, we’ll give you £1 back. That’s £1 if your credit balance is £133, £2 if it’s £166 and so on, up to a maximum of £12 at £496.
