AMR Services

Dataserve’s AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) solutions facilitate a whole new level of accuracy in comparison to manual reading, together with other benefits. Accurate bills, based on actual meter readings, are a key contributor to excellent customer service.

Compared to traditional estimated readings, AMR offers:

  • increased accuracy – because they are based on actual register readings, which are validated before they are passed to the customer’s energy supplier, accounts are much more accurate
  • reduced administration costs – eradicate the time spent querying and resolving
  • accounts based on estimated readings since it provides actual, verifiable readings
  • better energy management – tariffs on AMR meters can be changed remotely, which means that any change of tariff - and the savings that go with it – can be quickly and easily implemented
  • enhanced budgeting and forecasting – with energy accounts based on actual register readings, customers are finally in a position where they can accurately budget and forecast for energy consumption across their entire business portfolio.

AMR meter readings are provided to energy suppliers via industry standard D10 Data Flows. They are then scrutinised by energy suppliers’ meter reading validation systems before finally being converted into bills.
