Terms and Conditions for Argos £20 Incentive


  1. The promoter is ScottishPower Energy Retail Limited (the "Promoter"), which has its registered office at 320 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5AD.
  2. The Promotion will run for the period from 09:00 hours on 26th November 2018 until 00:00 hours on 20th December 2018 inclusive (the "Promotion Period").
  3. During the Promotion Period, the Promoter will provide an Argos voucher to the value of £20 (twenty pounds Sterling) (the Voucher) to customers of the Promoter that satisfy the Eligibility Criteria as set out in paragraph 3 ("the Promotion"). The voucher is redeemable online at www.argos.co.uk and in all Argos stores, excluding stores in the Republic of Ireland, and will have an expiry date of 12 months from the date of issue by the Promoter. A cash or voucher alternative will not be made available and the Voucher is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. The Promotion is limited to one voucher per household.
  4. To be eligible for the Promotion participants must meet the following ("Eligibility Criteria"): they must: (1) be legally resident in Great Britain, (2) be aged 18 years or over, (3) be an existing customer of the Promoter at the time of the Promotion in terms of the supply of gas and /or electricity to domestic premises, (4) have received an email from the Promoter offering the Promotion ("the Promotion E-mail"), (5) have booked an appointment with the Promoter, or the Promoter’s 3rd party installers Providor, Amey or Actavo, (6) have received confirmation of an appointment to have a smart meter installed at the domestic property being supplied by the Promoter within 3 months of receiving the Promotion E-mail, (7) consent to the Promoter contacting them via all available marketing channels with further promotions after the conclusion of the Promotion Period, and (8) be one of the first 2500 (two thousand five hundred) customers to meet parts (1) - (7) of the Eligibility Criteria above. Participants that satisfy the Eligibility Criteria shall be known in these terms and conditions as "Eligible Customers".
  5. The Voucher will be issued by the Promoter via an e-mail sent to the Eligible Customer following confirmation that a smart meter installation has been booked in line with the Eligibility Criteria as set out in paragraph 3. The e-mail address used for fulfilment of the voucher will refer to the address and/or phone number already held by the Promoter in connection with the Eligible Customer’s account at the time of the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any inaccurate email address information provided by the Eligible Customer which results in the Voucher not being delivered in accordance with this paragraph.
  6. Participants agree that by entering into the Promotion, any personal details supplied by them may be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion and for the use of direct marketing by the Promoter. The Promoter will only withhold the personal information of participants for the duration of 1 year. All Participants shall be entitled to opt-out of marketing at any time by emailing the Promoter at contactus@scottishpower.co.uk or by writing to the Promoter at Customer Services, ScottishPower Energy Retail Ltd, 320 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5AD. The current marketing consents for existing customers of the Promoter will not be impacted by your opt in preferences for the purposes of this Promotion.
  7. The Promotion is not open to customers who have applied for an energy tariff from the Promoter and have not had confirmation of their supply start date by the expiry of the Promotion Period.
  8. By entering the Promotion the Eligible Customer accepts these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the Voucher to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  9. The Promotion may not be used in conjunction with any other Promotion being concurrently run by the Promoter without the express consent of the Promoter.
  10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all customers and has the right to reject any applications that appear to be duplicates, materially incorrect or fraudulent.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time. The Promoter's decision regarding any aspect of the Promotion will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
  12. This Promotion has limited availability and the Promoter reserves the right to (i) refuse customer participation; and where it is required to do so due to circumstances outside of the Promoter's reasonable control, (ii) withdraw the Promotion or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
  13. The Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any customer or Eligible Customer or accept any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, liabilities, personal injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by any customer or Eligible Customer in connection with the Promotion or taking up the Voucher.
  14. Eligible Customers' personal details may be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the Promotion. The Promoter may disclose Eligible Customers' personal details to any third party it engages to assist it in conducting the Promotion.
  15. The Voucher is subject to Argos' terms and conditions as detailed on each voucher. Please note that all other Argos terms and conditions, including those on its website shall also apply in relation to the Voucher.
  16. These terms and conditions are in addition to the full ScottishPower Gas and Electricity General Terms and Conditions for Domestic Customers, which can be accessed at https://www.scottishpower.co.uk/domestictermsandconditions. In the event of any inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion and the ScottishPower Gas and Electricity General Terms and Conditions for Domestic Customers, the ScottishPower Gas and Electricity General Terms and Conditions for Domestic Customers will prevail.
  17. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
