    The energy market is very competitive and more often than not, energy companies are described as ‘one of the big 6’ or ‘one of the small suppliers’. There’s not much in between and it can be difficult to stand out.

    At the same time, customers expect excellent levels of service, good value products with competitive prices and increasingly customers are demanding easy, no hassle and low effort experiences. Consumers are firmly in the driving seat and they want to be in control.

    We made tremendous progress in 2015 and ScottishPower as a brand has a great story to tell. We are leaders in renewable wind energy in the UK, and together we’ve raised over £8 million for Cancer Research UK. The quality of our service has been talked about a lot over the last 12 months and we’ve made great progress in improving it. But the job isn’t finished yet. We need to keep going and demonstrate everyday our absolute determination to put this right.

    That’s why I’m delighted about the launch of a national campaign to tell customers about the great things that ScottishPower is doing. We are on the TV, in the press and online and our campaign focuses on real life energy moments and emphasises that ScottishPower not only takes care of the big things, like our investment in wind power, but also looks after the small things like our call centres staying open until 10pm. That’s ScottishPower. That’s who we are.
