By making monthly payments you can spread your energy costs across the year.

How it works

  • We’ll send you a monthly payment request detailing the amount you need to pay and the date the payment is due
  • You can choose from a range of ways to pay by cash or cheque.
  • You can also choose to manage your account online.
  • We’ll regularly review your monthly payments based on what you’ve paid and the energy you’ve used, to help keep your payments as accurate as possible.
  • We’ll send you an annual statement which will show you the amount of energy you've used, the payments you’ve made for the previous 12 months and your account balance.

How we work out your monthly payment amount

We'll estimate your 12 monthly payments based on a number of factors:

  • How much energy we think you'll use over the next 12 months, based on your previous use.
  • Your energy prices and discounts.
  • Any credit or debit balance on your account.
  • Any seasonal changes that may mean you use more energy in the winter and less in the summer.

Registering to manage your Account Online

If you manage your account online you can:

  • Regularly provide us with meter readings. We ask you to do this at least every 90 days to help us keep your payments in line with the amount of energy you’ve used.
  • Pay your monthly amount by credit or debit card directly through your online account
  • View your previous statements and energy use

You could Save more with Direct Debit

By switching to monthly Direct Debit, you could make further savings on your energy bills.

To change:

  • If you have an online account, simply log in and change your payment method or tariff. Please have your bank account details handy.
  • If you don't manage your account online you can register here and click the 'Change your Tariff' link to change your payment method.
