  6. 1. Will I get a payment request letter every month?

Yes. We’ll send a payment request letter each month, even if you’re in credit. Your payments are based on your annual energy usage and are spread across the year into regular, more manageable amounts.

    2. Why is ScottishPower able to change my payment method to Monthly Cash Plan?

Under the terms of the agreement we have with you, we can alter your tariff and/or payment option if you have failed to make a payment to us when it is due. Please see Condition 13.3 of the ScottishPower General Terms and Conditions (which are part of our agreement) for more details. We will notify you of any changes we make

    3. What happens if I miss a monthly cash payment?

If you miss a monthly cash payment, you’ll receive a reminder letter from us. You’ll then need to make that payment within the timescales set out in the letter

    4. Can I change the date my monthly payment is due ?

Yes. Contact Us and we’ll be happy to help.

    5. Will my monthly payment amounts change during the year?

They may do. We want your monthly payments to be as accurate as possible. This means that every time we update your account with an actual meter reading, we’ll review the amount of energy you’ve used and the payments you’ve made and let you know in advance of any changes to your monthly payment amount. If we don’t have actual meter readings we’ll also review your account based on estimated readings to keep it up to date.
