Your Payment Methods Explained:

Prepayment

A prepayment meter is a meter which you add credit to, using a device which you make payments to at a PayPoint or Post Office. It allows you to pay as you use, by providing you with a supply when you have credit on your meter. If you run out of credit your supply will stop. You can put credit on your meter by topping up your device and inserting it in your meter. Each time you top up your device, we can receive or send information to enable us to manage your account more efficiently. For example, your meter readings are sent to us so we don’t need to ask you for them. In addition, if we need to make any changes to the settings of your meter, these may be uploaded to your meter via your device without the need for an engineer to visit your home.
