I want to stay with ScottishPower when my contract ends. What do I need to do?

Absolutely nothing! A Statement of Renewal Terms will be issued to you at least 60 days before your existing contract is due to come to an end. Please refer to your Terms & Conditions for further information.

When will my Small Business contract end?

This will depend on the contract terms you originally agreed with us. Your sales application or schedule will show the Earliest Termination Date (this is the date your contract is due for renewal).

Will you tell me when my Small Business contract ends?

Yes, we'll write to you at least 60 days before your contract ends, advising you of the charges you'll pay for an ongoing energy supply after your contract term ends and information on how to terminate your supply with us should you choose to switch to an alternative supplier.

I have a contract. What should I do if another supplier approaches me?

Tell them that you're under contract with ScottishPower. If you are considering switching supplier call the Business Energy Team on 0800 040 7002 (Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday 8:30am - 1pm) to discuss the energy products we can offer your business.

If I want to terminate my contract, what do I need to do?

You can email your termination request to SMEContractTermination@ScottishPower.com.

Please note:
For Customers on a Fixed price contract - you must notify us at any point prior to the Earliest Termination Date specified in your contract. Before you terminate your contract call our Business Energy Team to see if there is a better deal for you.

For Customers on a Standard Fixed tariff - you must provide us with a minimum of 30 days notice of termination as specified in your Terms and Conditions. Before you terminate your contract call our Business Energy Team to see if there is a better deal for you.

How do I know if I have a Small Business fixed term contract?

You will have been given a copy of your contract when you transferred your supply to ScottishPower. We may also have written to you periodically, for example to tell you that your contract is due for renewal. If you're still unsure, please call us on 0800 040 7002 (Lines are open Monday to Friday 8:30am - 7pm and Saturdays 9am - 1pm).

What should I do if I move premises or my business closes down?

Call the number at the top of your Electricity or Gas statement or bill. Please give as much notice as possible. You'll find more information in the terms and conditions of your contract.

You will need to tell us when you are moving and who will be responsible for the premise when you leave - this may be the Landlord of the premise or the new customer.
