You will stay on your current prices and terms (with no exit fee) until the change takes place, as long as on or before 30th January 2019 (20 working days after the effective date) either:
you move to a new ScottishPower tariff; or
we're notified by another supplier that you're switching to them, and your supply transfers within a reasonable time (normally 20 working days).
If you have an outstanding debt, we can object to your supply leaving us. If the debt is paid in full within 30 working days of us informing you of the objection, you can leave us without your prices and terms changing if this is cheaper for you.

Your Direct Debit amount may vary if your prices or energy use changes. We’ll review this annually, and also when we receive your meter readings. We’ll let you know of any changes to your payments in advance.
Ofgem is responsible for setting the prices for this cap and energy suppliers cannot charge more than the cap for gas or electricity.
The next price cap will take effect on 1st April 2019 and is planned to be updated every six months after that whilst the cap is still in place.
