We’re getting on our bikes for good

We’ve partnered with Cancer Research UK for over a decade, raising over £40 million for life-saving research to date. And we’re dedicated to supporting their work to help beat cancer.

This year, we’re also a proud partner of Tour de 4: a brand-new cycling initiative set up by Sir Chris Hoy to change perceptions around stage 4 cancer and raise vital funds for cancer charities across the UK, including Cancer Research UK, following his own stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis.

Advances in medicine and research mean more people are living with different types of stage 4 cancer for longer and many, like Sir Chris Hoy, are living more normal, fulfilled lives. With more medical discoveries happening all the time, he said “I know there is not a cure for me but, with science moving so fast, I hope that we can protect our children and the next generation.”

To raise money for cancer charities across the UK, Tour de 4 will bring people who have been affected by cancer – whether directly or indirectly – together to take part in 4 different cycling rides in Glasgow on Sunday 7th September 2025. Starting and finishing at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, cyclists can choose from a 90km and 60km road ride, 1km family and kids’ ride, or static bikes inside the Velodrome for anyone who isn’t up to road cycling.

Of course, we’ll be there cheering everyone on too! With special merchandise and activities at the festival event space, including Team ScottishPower who will also be participating to help raise vital funds!

Because we know that by working together, there’s no limit to how far we can go. Every turn of the pedal. Every donation. Every show of support. It all makes new discoveries possible and brings hope for a better future.

Find out more about how you can get involved on the Tour De 4 website.

We hope to see you there.
