All installations conform to the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, 5th Edition; the 18th Edition of BS7671 Wiring Regulations; and the Construction Design and Management Regulations (2015).

All our suppliers and equipment go through an extensive and detailed compliance evaluation before being onboarded. We use experienced installers to ensure your chargers are installed safely.

The cost to charge is dependent on the size of the car’s battery and the electricity tariff that the business premises is on. Your business energy does need to be supplied by ScottishPower to purchase our chargers.

This is determined by several factors including your energy supply, how the chargers and your vehicles will be used, and how many people will be using them. We will work with you to determine how many and the best type of chargers for your business needs.

The cost of your EV charging solution will depend on the number and type of chargers you’re looking to install. Our in-house experts will provide you with a quote for install, subject to survey.

Depending on your site and how long users will spend there, ultra-rapid charging isn't always the best option for your business. If you have vehicles parked at your site for long periods, then it’s worth considering fast chargers (7kW/22kW). These will significantly reduce both CAPEX and OPEX costs and most vehicles would be fully charged when you need them.

Our expert team can give you charging solutions to suit your current capacity, through lowering charger speed or introducing dynamic load balancing. But if you require capacity increase, we can also give you guidance on what capacity would be required in order to install chargers. You can then use this information to get in touch with your electricity provider/Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to request an increase in supply. This will come at a cost and you will be provided with a quote from your electricity provider or DNO.

It’s worth being aware that a little more space will be required to provide better accessibility for all. As a general rule - for every 2 new EV charging bays, we would require 3 standard parking bays of space. Standard bays are usually 2.5m by 5m; the wider bays would be 3.75m by 5m.
