How do I find my MPAN/MPRN?

When you get a quote from us, we can usually identify your electricity and/or gas meters in the national database using your address. In some cases, we may need a bit more information from you.

Every electricity meter has a Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN), and every gas meter has a Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN). These details are sometimes called your ‘Supply Number’.  If we’ve sent you a letter addressed to The Occupier, it should include your MPAN and/or MPRN.

Finding your MPAN

You can find your MPAN on your energy bill.  It usually looks like this:

This image shows a grid containing letters and numbers. The bottom row shows an example of a Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN).

We only need the numbers on the bottom row, which will be up to 13 digits. Your MPAN isn’t printed on your electricity meter, so if you can’t find it on your energy bill, we recommend getting in touch with your network operator.

Finding your MPRN

You can find your MPRN on your energy bill. It’s up to 11 digits long, and you’ll usually find it next to information about your tariff or your energy use.

You can find out your MPRN, as well as which energy company supplies your gas, by searching your postcode on Find My Supplier.
