What are your options as an EV driver with ScottishPower?
When you switch to an electric vehicle (EV), it's important to choose the right home charging plan for you. This choice could impact your budget as well as your charging schedule, as you’ll have the option to charge your EV at specific times to benefit from cheaper charging.
Whether you have a set routine or change your schedule daily, ScottishPower has two great options for EV drivers: EV Optimise and EV Saver.
In this blog, we’ll break down both options so you can choose the best EV charging options for your needs.
EV Optimise add-on: flexible and simple
Could be best for: Hybrid workers, busy parents, or anyone with a changeable schedule.
Key benefits:
- Rate of 10p/kWh - set the time you need your EV charged by and we'll tap into the greenest charging times1.
- Smart charging via the ScottishPower app: just set your charging preferences for any time, day or night, and let the app do the rest.
- Potential savings of up to £419 per year2.
- No need to stick to the off-peak overnight hours available with the EV Saver tariff, charge when it suits you, just set your hours within the EV Optimise section of the ScottishPower app
Why choose EV Optimise?
With EV Optimise, you're not limited to certain times. If your schedule changes, simply amend your charging preferences in the ScottishPower app and you'll still benefit from the lower charging rate. EV Optimise gives you the flexibility you may have been looking for. Plus, there are no extra costs - simply add our product on to your existing tariff3 to get started.
EV Saver tariff: perfect for those wanting to charge overnight
Could be best for: for those working a 9-5 role, with set hours, who can plug in overnight.
