For the World Cup final on Sunday 19 July, you’ll get:
A notification to opt in before the match
2 hours of half-price electricity covering the match time
These Bonus Hours sit on top of your regular Power Saver weekly slots2 giving you extra opportunities to save. The good news is, where your chosen Power Saver slots crossover with these Bonus Hours, you’ll get a 100% discount.

How do I get involved?
- Be a Power Saver customer
- In the ScottishPower app, click on Power Saver, then Event preferences and choose Power Saver Plus to sign up. Don’t have the app? Simply download it. Sign up to Power Saver.
- Opt in before each match
We’ll send you a notification on the Friday before the match, so make sure your notifications are turned on. Simply accept the opt-in before the game.
- Enjoy your savings
Enjoy the final match of the World Cup 2026 tournament and enjoy half-price electricity!

Electricity used will be charged at your normal unit rate, and you will later have your bill, or meter if you are a PAYG customer, credited for the energy used during bonus hours. Credit is calculated at 50% (excluding VAT) and appears as ‘Power Saver Credit’ on your bill or statement. Your daily standing charge will be charged at your normal rate. Eligibility criteria, exclusions, and T&Cs apply. For each hour there is an electricity consumption limit of 2kWh, meaning you’ll receive credit for any electricity used up to this limit. Any electricity consumption that goes over this limit will be charged at your usual agreed electricity rate.
