Over two thirds of people think greener living is out of reach1

Architect and TV presenter George Clarke is working with ScottishPower as our Greener Living Ambassador to help answer a simple question: is greener living actually worth it in real homes, with real budgets?

Across Great Britain, many households aren’t convinced. Two thirds of people say greener living still feels out of reach — often because of cost, or uncertainty about what actually works. George’s role is to cut through that.

George Clarke takes on the Great Green Challenge

As ScottishPower’s Greener Living Ambassador, George is taking on the Great Green Challenge - a year-long mission to cut through the confusion, bust the myths and show what greener living looks like in real homes, not picture-perfect ones. He’ll explore:

  • what’s genuinely worth your time and money with greener living

  • what’s over-hyped (and what isn’t)

  • how small everyday changes could make homes greener, simpler to run and more affordable.

Watch our video to see how George launched the Challenge at ScottishPower’s Whitelee windfarm, the UK’s largest windfarm.
