About Our ‘For Business’ energy tariffs

Transparent and fair pricing for business energy needs. Our business tariff consists of two price components:

  1. A fixed price element, the majority of which is for the energy we supply you, so you’re protected from any increase in wholesale energy prices.

  2. A variable cost component, covering industry charges each quarter such as network, social, and environmental obligations.

Regional energy prices for business

Regional pricing means business energy prices can vary depending on where your premises are located. This is because the cost of running and maintaining local energy networks, and getting energy to different parts of the country, isn’t the same everywhere. For your business, this means your location can affect your energy rates, even if your usage is similar to another business elsewhere.

Breakdown of Pricing Components

Your energy bill is made up of several key components. As part of our regular quarterly review, we assess some of the variable costs within our ‘For Business’ and ‘Renewable for Business’ tariffs. Here is what they are and how they affect your pricing. We will update pricing accordingly every quarter on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July, and 1st October. A small amount of electricity is naturally lost as it travels through the network – these ‘network losses’ are included in several standard industry charges. Network losses will remain unchanged from 1st July 2026. Effective from 1st July 2026, changes in rates will reflect as follows:
