How to join My ScottishPower rewards

What is My ScottishPower?

My ScottishPower^{1} is our new rewards programme, designed to give back to our energy customers for their loyalty. Eligible customers can receive £5 energy credit just for signing up, and can also receive exclusive benefits, discounts, and savings throughout the year.

You’ll receive a quarterly reward of 125 points. Additionally, if you’ve been with us for over 3 years, you’ll also receive an annual bonus. Reward points can only be redeemed in the ScottishPower App. Points can be redeemed as an energy credit on your account, saving you money on your energy bill. My ScottishPower customers will receive opportunities to grow their reward points as well as access to exclusive offers and rewards throughout the year.

How do I take part?

To join My ScottishPower, simply sign-up using our website or through the ScottishPower App. On our website once you’ve logged in with your ScottishPower account details, you’ll need to select the account you’d like to use to join My ScottishPower. If you’re responsible for energy at more than one property supplied by ScottishPower, you’ll need to sign each account up individually. After you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions, and clicked ‘Join My ScottishPower’, you’ll be presented with a screen confirming that your sign-up has been successful. The only way you can redeem points is through the ScottishPower App, so it’s important that you download the app to take part in the rewards. To sign up to My ScottishPower through the app, log in with your ScottishPower account details then click ‘Get £5 credit for signing up – Join My ScottishPower rewards’. After you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Sign up’, you’ll be presented with a screen thanking you for joining My ScottishPower. Eligibility

Who is eligible for My ScottishPower?

To make the most of rewards offered through My ScottishPower, you’ll need to:

  • Be a ScottishPower domestic energy customer with a live gas and/or electricity supply; and
  • Have an online account with us. If you don’t already have an online account, you can register for one here.

My ScottishPower is not currently available to Pay As You Go customers with a traditional meter. However, if you have a smart prepayment meter for your gas, electricity or both, you may be eligible for My ScottishPower.

Rewards

What rewards are available through My ScottishPower?

Once you have joined My ScottishPower, you’ll receive £5 energy credit as a thank you. You’ll also receive a quarterly reward of 125 points and an annual bonus if you’ve been with us for over 3 years. Reward points can only be redeemed in the app. Points can be redeemed as an energy credit on your account, saving you money on your energy bill. There will also be opportunities to grow your reward points and offers and rewards exclusively for My ScottishPower customers throughout the year.

When will I receive my £5 energy credit for joining My ScottishPower?

Customers who have successfully joined My ScottishPower will receive their £5 energy credit within 14 days of joining.

How will my £5 energy credit be paid?

If you have both gas and electricity with us, or electricity only, your £5 energy credit will be paid to your electricity account. If you only have your gas with us, it will be paid to your gas account. £5 energy credit will be applied directly to your account and will show as ‘My ScottishPower Credit’ on your energy bill.

If you’re responsible for energy at more than one property supplied by ScottishPower, please keep in mind that you’ll need to sign each account up individually. We will then reward you £5 energy credit per household after you have joined My ScottishPower.

How to earn loyalty points?

There will be multiple ways to earn points through the app. You’ll receive a quarterly reward of 125 points. Additionally, if you’ve been with us for over 3 years, you’ll also receive an annual bonus and we’ll be in touch to let you know all the ways you can earn loyalty points throughout the year.

Troubleshooting

When I try to sign up for My ScottishPower, I get presented with a ‘something went wrong’ message?

If you get this message, please log out of your online account and then log in again via the My ScottishPower web page.

When I log into my online account, I get presented with more than one account number, which one do I select?

This may be because you are responsible for more than one energy account. We will reward you with £5 energy credit per household after you have signed up. If you’re responsible for energy supplied at more than one property, you’ll need to sign each account up individually.

There are no points to redeem in my account

Your quarterly reward of 125 points will be applied to your account on the 10th of January, April, July, and October. Your first reward is calculated based on the date you joined My ScottishPower. For example, if you join My ScottishPower between the 10th of April and 9th of July your first quarterly reward would be due the 10th of July.

I can't see a My ScottishPower energy credit

It takes up to 14 days to apply your energy credit to your bill, and then you should see this on your most recent bill or statement as ‘My ScottishPower Credit’. Or if you’re a smart Pay As You Go customer this will be applied directly to your meter.

I've changed my mind and no longer want to be a My ScottishPower loyalty member

You can opt out of our loyalty programme at any time by sending us an email to myscottishpower@scottishpower.com  including your name, address and account number with 'My ScottishPower opt out' in the subject line.

If you leave the Loyalty Scheme but stay with ScottishPower, you have 28 days to use your Points. After that, they will be permanently removed.

If you rejoin the Loyalty Scheme within 28 days, your Points will stay on your account.

If you stop being a ScottishPower customer, your Points will be permanently removed and cannot be restored.
