To sign up for EV Optimise, you need to be a ScottishPower customer. You can add EV Optimise to any tariff excluding our EV Saver and Heat Saver tariff.

To be eligible for EV Optimise, you need a smart meter, a compatible vehicle and any home EV charger. You can find out if your account and home set-up meet the required eligibility by filling out our survey.
If you’re eligible, we will add you to our waitlist. Our waitlist time is currently around 1-2 weeks....
EV Optimise is a product for home charging. If you charge away from your home location, you won’t receive EV Optimise smart charging credits and the charging will not appear on your EV Optimise dashboard.
Please also note, you won’t be able to see a breakdown of your charging sessions away from home in the ScottishPower App...
EV Optimise can read your vehicle data and location, but can only control the starting and stopping of charging when your car is plugged in at home. ScottishPower will not charge your car in any other location.
The EV Optimise add-on is exclusively available to ScottishPower customers (excluding those on the EV Saver or Heat Saver tariffs).

We recognise your car and charger manufacturers provide mobile apps with useful features to help you manage your charging and more. Whilst you can continue to use these apps, it's important you disable any charging schedules, timers or settings in your car manufacturer’s app before onboarding. This is because they can interfere with the EV Optimise algorithm and impact your savings. Don’t worry, you can still use your car manufacturer’s app for all the other features they offer....
We’re sorry that you want to cancel EV Optimise. You can cancel by going to the EV Optimise dashboard in the ScottishPower App. Click ‘settings’ and you will see an option to ‘Cancel EV Optimise’.
If you cancel EV Optimise, you will no longer be able to smart charge your car with EV Optimise. Any charging at home will be billed at your normal tariff rate and you will lose access to your smart charging history. Any outstanding smart charging credit will appear on your next bill....
If you disable EV Optimise in the ScottishPower App, your car charging at home will be billed at your normal tariff rate and will not receive any EV Optimise credit. You can disable EV Optimise smart charging by going to the ‘Settings’ screen in your EV Optimise dashboard and selecting ‘Disable smart charging’. This means our smart charging algorithm will not engage and you can manually charge your car at home using your car, charger or third-party apps....
